What You Will Need
Tin Lifter kit (top part, bottom part, 2 black screws, double-sided tape)
Phillips #2 screwdriver
Before You Begin
The tin lifter consists of two parts — a top part and a bottom part. On the black wheel at the back, there is a pin that will be inserted into a hole on the top part of the lifter. Familiarize yourself with these parts before starting.
Phase 1 — Assemble the Tin Lifter
Step 1: Identify the parts
Lay out all the parts:
Top part of the lifter — has a hole where the pin from the black wheel goes
Bottom part of the lifter
2 black screws
Double-sided tape
Step 2: Join the top and bottom parts
Take the bottom part and the top part, flip them over, and find where they line up. Push them firmly together. You may need to make small adjustments to get them aligned correctly.
Phase 2 — Install the Lifter onto the Coil
Step 3: Slide the lifter through the coil
Take the assembled lifter and slide the hole — the one where the pin goes — through the center of the coil, pushing it all the way back into position.
Step 4: Position and adjust
Place the lifter into position. The front of the tin lifter should sit approximately halfway — use your finger as a reference to check the placement. Make any necessary adjustments before securing.
Step 5: Squeeze and hold
Once the lifter is properly positioned, squeeze it together to hold it in place while you prepare to secure it with the screws.
Phase 3 — Secure the Lifter with Screws
Step 6: Insert the back screw
Slowly slide the lifter into position. Take one of the two black screws and place it into the back hole of the lifter. Use your Phillips #2 screwdriver to screw it in securely.
Step 7: Insert the front screw
Take the second black screw and place it into the front hole of the lifter. Line up the holes and screw it in securely with the Phillips #2 screwdriver.
ℹ️ Note: There are pre-drilled holes on both the front and back of the lifter for the screws to line up with.
Phase 4 — Apply Double-Sided Tape
Step 8: Prepare the double-sided tape
Take the double-sided tape provided and peel off one side of the backing.
Step 9: Apply tape to the lifter
Stick the tape onto the back side of the lifter, directly over the screw holes.
Step 10: Remove the second backing
Peel off the remaining backing from the other side of the double-sided tape to expose the adhesive.
Phase 5 — Final Assembly & Secure
Step 11: Reinsert the pin
Take the back of the lifter and reinsert the pin into the hole on the black wheel, aligning it correctly.
Step 12: Press down firmly to secure
Once the pin is inserted, press down firmly to secure the lifter in place using the double-sided tape.
