Tools Required
Manual Stubby Screwdriver (Crucial: Do not use power tools)
Manual Phillips Head Screwdriver
[!IMPORTANT] Warning: These screws are very fragile. Do not use an electric screwdriver, impact driver, or drill. Using power tools will snap the screw heads. Only use manual tools.
Step 1: Prep the New Motor
Before installing the new motor, you must prepare it:
Locate the screw and spring on the back of the new motor.
Use a manual screwdriver to undo the screw.
Remove the spring and screw, then push the components apart so the motor is ready for installation.
Step 2: Access the Motor Tray
Remove the Coil: Refer to our "Coil Removal Video." Take the coil out and set it aside.
Remove Drawer Screws: Locate the three screws on the drawer side (near the hinge).
Secure Screws: Place these screws inside the machine or a magnetic tray so they are not lost.
Shift the Tray: Slide the tray sideways to reveal the wire connections on the back of the motor.
Step 3: Remove the Old Motor
Remove the Wheel Screw: Locate the screw holding the wheel in place and remove it.
Remove the Wheel: Push on the wheel to pop it off. This reveals the four main mounting screws.
Detach Motor: Remove the four mounting screws. Pull the old motor out of the housing.
Step 4: Install the New Motor
Alignment: Place the new motor in the housing, lining it up roughly with the original screw holes.
Secure: Reinsert and tighten the four mounting screws by hand.
Reattach the Wheel: Reinsert the black wheel that holds the coil. Ensure it sits completely flush against the motor.
Step 5: Secure the Spring and Back Screw
Hand Tighten: Place the spring over the back of the motor.
Technique: Hold the black wheel steady with your left hand. Use your right hand to tighten the screw by hand until it is snug.
Final Turn: Use your manual screwdriver to turn the screw until it stops. Do not over tighten.
Step 6: Wiring and Reassembly
Connect Wires: Match the wire numbers to the corresponding motor terminals (e.g., Wire 9 and Wire 10).
Example: 9 goes on the backside, 10 goes on the front side.
Reinstall Tray: Slide the tray back into position, line up the holes, and replace the three drawer screws.
Replace Coil: Click the coil back into the motor as demonstrated in the "Coil Replacement" video.
Step 7: Testing (Debug Mode)
Power the machine on and wait for the software to load.
Enter Service Menu: Hold two fingers on the screen to bring up the password prompt.
Access Slot Management: Enter your password and select Slot Management.
Test the Motor: Find the slot number you just replaced (e.g., Slot #10) and tap Debug.
Confirm: If the motor turns correctly, your replacement is successful!
