Products Not Vending "Right", Coils, Jams, Motors

Jams are almost always coil sizing or coil position, not the machine. Test the motors, set the coil position, and match the coil size to the product.

Jams are almost always coil sizing or coil position, not the machine. Work through these steps in order.

1. Test the motors

Keep the door open and watch each test vend live.

  1. Hold the top right corner of the touchscreen for 3 seconds, enter the admin password, and tap Confirm.

  2. Tap Slot Management. Each aisle and its motor will be listed.

  3. Tap Debug next to an aisle to spin that motor.

  4. Confirm one full 360° rotation, no more and no less. Test each aisle 3 times.

If the refund sensor is enabled and nothing drops, the machine will alert "Please contact administrator." Wait for the alert to finish and keep testing.

A motor that does not continuously rotate a full 360° is a red flag. Call VTM Support for Tier II technical support.

2. Set the coil position

Ideal coil position is around 5-6 o'clock (see picture) so the product does not slide out on its own. Retest for a full 360° after any change.

3. Match the coil size to the product

Product too big for the coil cannot rotate. Product too small lets two items creep forward and drop together. In general, a product should have some space and should not be jammed in the coil tight.

Card packs

Card packs vend in 22mm or 35mm coils with product pushers. Every TCG machine built from July 2026 forward ships with 22mm coils and pushers installed.

Sticking in the coil: set the coil end to 5-6 o'clock and confirm the product pusher is attached. The pusher is a black plastic piece that slides onto the coil end and keeps each case moving toward the front of the aisle. Spare pushers: $8.50 for a 10-pack.

Stuck at the prize door: case height is the likely cause, not the coil.

Case

Size

Prilino, 3-pack

3.05" x 4.92" (taller)

Invested Alliance, 50-pack

3" x 4" (shorter, 180pt rigid)

If you run the taller Prilino case: note which aisles are affected, rotate the coil to a slightly different position, and run several test vends. Still hanging? Switch to the shorter case. The pack top sticks out slightly, but the cards stay fully protected.

Still sticking?

Retest the motor 3 times after any change and confirm a full 360° each time. Then contact VTM Support with your machine serial, the aisle number, and whether it is one aisle or several.
