How to Use the “Merge Aisles” Feature

The Merge Aisles feature helps you simplify your product display by automatically combining identical products that are stocked across multiple aisles. When enabled, customers will see a single product option even if it’s stored in multiple lanes of the machine — reducing confusion and improving the shopping experience.

How It Works

When Merge Aisles is enabled:

  • The system identifies aisles containing the same product name and SKU.

  • These aisles are automatically grouped and displayed as a single selection on the customer screen.

  • Products will be dispensed in a rotation of all potential aisles until an aisle is empty

  • If one aisle runs out of stock, the machine will automatically vend from another aisle that still has the product.

  • No manual linking between aisles is required.

How to Enable Merge Aisles

  1. Log in to your VapeTM Admin Portal.

  2. Navigate to your Machine List.

  3. Select the machine you want to update.

  4. Go to Machine Config → Advertising Setting.

  5. Toggle Enable Merge Aisles to Yes

  6. Click Save to apply changes.

Tip: Once enabled, you don’t need to manually assign merged aisles. The system automatically consolidates identical products based on their configuration in the Aisle Goods section.

Verifying the Merge

To confirm the feature is working:

  1. Ensure multiple aisles have the exact same product assigned (same name, SKU, and price).

  2. On the customer interface, check that the duplicate products now appear as one combined selection.

  3. Perform a test purchase — when one aisle’s inventory is depleted, sales will continue from another aisle automatically.

Troubleshooting

  • If you’ve enabled Merge Aisles but still see duplicate products:

    • Make sure the product names and SKUs match exactly across aisles.

    • Verify that Enable Merge Aisles is active under Advertising Setting.

    • Refresh the machine configuration by restarting or syncing the machine from the admin portal.
