Replacement IO board (green board)
Board Positions in machine:
Slim Wall TCG / Slim Wall / Mega Wall 2.0: Please open the door and remove the panel behind it — you will be able to see all the hardware parts inside.
Slim Tower TCG / Slim Tower / Mini Wall: Please open the door and look at the bottom right corner — you should see the hardware part inside a case.
Before You Begin
The IO board is a green board located inside the machine. Unlike the Android board, the IO board has no cables on the back — all connectors are on the front, making it slightly easier to replace.
⚠️ Important: Take multiple photos of the board and all cable positions before disconnecting anything. Your reference photos are your best friend during this process.
Phase 1 — Open the Machine & Prepare
Step 1: Open the machine door
Unlock and open the front door of the vending machine to access the internal components.
Step 2: Power off the machine
Turn the machine off before proceeding with any hardware work.
Step 3: Take reference photos
Before disconnecting anything, use your phone to take multiple clear photos of the IO board and all cable connections from different angles. Make sure every connector and wire position is clearly captured. You will refer back to these photos throughout the installation.
Phase 2 — Remove the Old IO Board
Step 4: Disconnect the clip connectors
Some cables on the IO board have a small clip/latch on the side. To disconnect these:
Squeeze the clip on the side of the connector
Pull the connector straight out while holding the clip squeezed
Step 5: Disconnect the remaining cables
For cables without a clip, gently wiggle them back and forth while pulling until they come out. Do not yank or force any connector.
ℹ️ Note: There are two sets of wires that use the wiggle method — take your time with each one.
Step 6: Remove the 4 board screws
Using your Phillips #2 screwdriver, remove all 4 screws securing the IO board — one in each corner. Be careful not to strip the screws.
ℹ️ Note: Unlike the Android board, the IO board has no cables on the back, so you can lift it straight out once the screws are removed.
Phase 3 — Install the New IO Board
Step 7: Position the new IO board
Place the new green IO board into position, lining up all 4 screw holes. Remember — there are no cables on the back, so installation is straightforward.
Step 8: Install all 4 screws first
Before connecting any cables, secure the board with all 4 Phillips screws first. This ensures the board is properly aligned before you start plugging cables in.
Step 9: Reconnect the cables correctly
When reconnecting cables, note that each connector has a small edge/notch on one side:
The notch goes on the larger/wider side of the port
Push the connector in firmly until you hear or feel a click
A click confirms the cable is properly and securely connected
Step 10: Refer back to your reference photos
Using the photos you took in Step 3, verify that every cable is reconnected to its correct original position on the new IO board. Check each connection carefully before powering on.
Phase 4 — Final Check & Power On
Step 11: Review all connections
Do a final visual check of the entire board. Compare it against your reference photos to confirm everything is in the correct position and all cables are firmly seated.
Step 12: Close the machine and power on
Close the inner panel and machine door. Plug the machine back in and power it on. Allow it to fully boot up and confirm the IO board is functioning correctly.
