How to Find Your Machine's Serial Number

How to locate your Machine Number and why you need it for VapeTM support.

Updated yesterday

Your machine's serial number or IMEI (commonly referred to as Machine Number) is a unique identifier that VapeTM support uses to look up your device in the backend system. Here's where to find it.

On the Physical Machine

The serial number is printed on a sticker label attached to your machine. Check these locations:

  • Inside the machine door — open the front panel and look along the inner frame or door edge.

  • On the back of the machine — a white or silver label on the rear panel.

  • On the original packaging box — if you still have the box it shipped in, the serial number is printed on a barcode label on the outside.

The serial number is typically a long numeric string (10 or more digits). When reading it to support over the phone, read it in groups of 3–4 digits to reduce errors.

In the Machine's On-Screen Software

If you can't access the physical label, you can find the serial number on the machine's screen:

  1. Access Admin Mode on the machine's touchscreen. Tap and hold the top-right corner of the screen for 3–5 seconds until the admin menu appears.

  2. Enter your admin password when prompted. (See: Machine Setup: Admin Password and Navigation Bar.)

  3. Navigate to Settings > About or Device Info — the serial number is displayed here.

In Your VapeTM Portal

You can also find the serial number in your VapeTM software portal:

  1. Navigate to Machine List and the Machine Number is listed in its own column.

When You'll Need Your Serial Number

  • Calling VapeTM support — the serial number lets support pull up your machine instantly, check its online/offline status, and push commands remotely.

  • Requesting a remote reboot — if your machine is online but unresponsive, support needs the serial number to send a remote reset command. See: How to Reboot or Restart Your Machine.

  • Warranty and hardware support — the serial number identifies your specific unit for any repair or replacement requests.
