Safety First
Power Off: Ensure the machine is completely turned off before touching any wiring or internal boards to prevent electrical damage.
Section 1: Hardware Installation
Step 1: Access the Mounting Area
Open the main machine door.
Remove the Access Panel: Using your Phillips head screwdriver, remove the four screws securing the internal protective metal panel. Set the screws aside safely.
Remove Mounting Hardware: Use a 7mm socket to remove the four gold nuts from the mounting studs.
Step 2: Mount the Bill Acceptor
Modular Plate: Place the modular mounting plate onto the studs.
Orientation: Pick up the bill acceptor. Ensure the two arrows on the front of the unit are facing downward.
Secure the Unit: Slide the bill acceptor onto the studs. Replace the four gold nuts and tighten them firmly.
Step 3: Wiring and Connectivity
Unit Connection: Plug the wide, keyed end of the cable into the back of the bill acceptor. It only fits one way; push firmly until secure. (Refer image 1)
Cable Routing: Run the cable up through the inside of the door panel, ensuring wires are tucked neatly to avoid being pinched when closing the panel.
Board Connection: Locate the Green I/O Board:
Slim/Mega Wall: Behind the metal panel you just opened.
Slim Tower 2.0: Bottom right corner inside a metal case.
Connect the small end of the cable to the middle connection (designated port) on the I/O board. This is also keyed—do not force it. (Refer image 2)
Step 4: Reassembly
Close the internal protective metal panel.
Reinstall the four Phillips head screws.
Turn the machine power back ON.
Section 2: Software Configuration
Step 5: Enable the Device in Software
Navigate through your Vape Vending software using the following path:
Log in to your dashboard and go to Machine List.
Select Payment Settings.
Set Bill Acceptor to Yes.
Under Bank Notes, select ITL-BV20.
Click Confirm to save your settings.
Section 3: Testing the Device
Step 6: Functional Test
Select any product on the machine screen.
Click the "Cash (Exact Change Only)" or "Buy Cash Only" button.
The Bezel Check: The Bill Acceptor should begin to blink yellow.
Transaction Check: Insert a bill. Verify the screen registers the amount (e.g., "Paid $1.00"). Once the total price is met, the machine should dispense the product immediately.
Troubleshooting
PS: If the device does not blink yellow or register cash:
Double-check that the cable is firmly seated in the back of the bill acceptor.
Ensure the connection to the middle port of the Green I/O board is secure.
Confirm that the software settings were saved successfully in the "Machine List" dashboard.
