Admin Vs Android Settings

Your VTM vending machine has two distinct menu environments accessible from the machine screen — the Admin Menu and the Android Menu. Understanding the difference is important to avoid accidental changes that could disrupt your machine's operations.

1. The Admin Menu

The Admin Menu is the VTM-Vending specific management interface built into the vending machine software. It is accessed directly from the machine's touchscreen and is divided into two sections based on who should be making changes.

🟢 Safe to Access — Green Box

The following options are available for operators to use independently during normal day-to-day operation:

  • Slot Management — view and manage your machine's aisle slots, assign products, and update stock levels directly from the machine screen

  • Equipment Configuration — view and adjust basic equipment settings for your machine including the navigation bar setting.

These two options are safe to interact with on your own without needing to contact support.

🟠 Restricted — Orange Box

⚠️ Do not attempt to make any changes to the following options without the direct oversight of a VapeTM support agent.

The following four options are advanced system-level settings. Incorrect changes here can cause your machine to malfunction, go offline, or stop dispensing products entirely:

  • Allocate Arrangement

  • Off-line Order

  • VMC Log

  • Setting (🔴 red arrow — Admin Settings)

If you need to make adjustments to any of these options, please contact the VTM Vending support team first.

2. The Android Menu

The Android Menu is the underlying operating system interface of the machine — separate from the VTM Vending software entirely. This menu is accessed by navigating to the Android home screen, either physically through the home button on the navigation bar at the bottom of the machine or remotely via the Screen Remote Control feature.

The Android Menu contains the following options:

  • Applications — view all apps installed on the machine's Android operating system, including the VapeTM app. This can be used to force stop, clear cache, or restart the VapeTM application

  • Settings (⬇️ gray arrow) — the Android system settings. From here you can manage Wi-Fi and network connections, adjust date and time, and configure other system-level preferences

  • File Manager — the machine's file browser, used to manage locally stored files such as video advertisements

  • Browser — a web browser installed on the machine's Android system

⚠️ The Android Menu should only be accessed when directed by a VapeTM support agent, or when you are performing a specific task you are already familiar with — such as switching the network connection or clearing the app cache. Avoid making changes to unfamiliar settings in this menu, as they affect the core operating system of the machine.

🟢 Green box items (Slot Management, Equipment Configuration) are designed for operator use and are safe to access during normal machine operation.

🟠 Orange box items (Allocate Arrangement, Off-line Order, VMC Log, Setting) are advanced configurations. Always contact VTM Vending support before making any changes here. Unauthorized changes may void troubleshooting support or cause machine downtime.
